I'd have a sniff, cook it and eat it if it seemed ok. It likely will be fine.

GetRid · 24/03/2019 19:32

Yes fine

IMissGin · 24/03/2019 19:34

Unless it’s fish pork or chicken I would

I'd eat it if it looks ok.

Thisismyusernamefornow · 24/03/2019 19:35

Fine to eat - if it looks ok, eat it.

greenlynx · 24/03/2019 19:36

I wouldn’t.

Use your eyes and nose. I find the cheese goes mouldy quite quickly if it’s gone off.

unicornsrule · 24/03/2019 19:37

Its just ricotta smells fine

Of course it's fine! It's Spinach and cheese! Not prawns etc...

BarbaraofSevillle · 24/03/2019 19:42

I'd be more worried that it had gone a bit soggy, but if it seems OK, and the base isn't mouldy there doesn't seem to be anything that would be unsafe there.

Thymeout · 24/03/2019 19:51

I find dairy lasts much longer than the use-by date, if it's been kept in the fridge. Cream, yoghurt, fromage frais are all fine. I just dip a finger in and if it tastes OK I use it. Ricotta is just soft cheese, cream one stage further on. I think they must set the use by date on the basis someone might have left it in the boot of the car on a hot day. It's really obvious if it's off, if you've got any taste buds at all.

Kpo58 · 24/03/2019 19:52

Don't eat it if it has walked off or gained sentience.

minniemoll · 24/03/2019 19:57

Personally I'd eat it any time up till the end of the month....
