We are going away and he loves books so I want to get him a couple for the plane. I have ordered him Oi duck billed platapus as he loves the Oi series of books.
We also have lots of julia donaldsons and the supertato series. Can anyone recommend any more he really likes funny books

I have also ordered him some puzzle books, a new colouring book, a sticker book and some key stage 1 and 2 maths books (he loves doing maths). We will also have the I pad complete with headphones.
My husband thinks I am going a bit overboard but on a 6 hour flight I want to be prepared and I think it will be £20 well spent

My 5 year old absoulyey loves the notebook of doom series. He's obsessed with it. It is aimed for slightly older but if he's a good reader then he will be fine with them I had to order them all on eBay second hand from America but they are available on Amazon UK now.

The captain underpants series are a hit with our 5.5 year old

Pirates next door is a firm favourite

For a plane journey, I’d suggest a search and find book. My DS enjoyed this star wars one www.waterstones.com/book/star-wars-wheres-the-wookiee-2-search-and-find-activity-book/lucasfilm/9781405292931 Where’s Wally is also good.

I Spy at the Airport is great www.waterstones.com/book/i-spy-at-the-airport/i-spy/9780008182809

Michael Rosen 'Rover' is funny. And 'You're Called What?' from the same illustrator as Oi frog.

I second the pirates next door, dd loved that one.
She also loved the owl who was afraid of the dark.
