Asking for a friend who can’t decide
Which are nicer? Thicker strap or thinner strap?

The thin strap looks better but kitten heels always look pointlessly uncomfortably. Either go higher or go flat.

BobbilyBoo · 24/03/2019 17:24

I prefer the thicker strap (and I'm not fat Confused)

Corcra · 24/03/2019 18:40

I love the thicker ones.

conhill · 24/03/2019 18:44

I like the thicker ones too

FairyMoppings · 24/03/2019 18:46

The thinner straps make her leg look a little more long & slender than the thicker strap ones. But both are very nice and would advise wearing the ones that are more comfortable.

Shitonthebloodything · 24/03/2019 18:47

No such thing as a flattering kitten heel but if I really had to choose I'd say thicker.

slithytove · 24/03/2019 18:48

She isn’t fat! Haha
Thanks for the responses so far

I’ve been asked to give more context

Has to be a heel because she is 5 foot
It’s a holiday on a luxury train (v. Formal) so she can’t be tottering around in high heels

We're just moving this over to chat at the OP's request.

AdelaideK · 24/03/2019 20:14

I'd say the thicker ones are better.

BitchQueen90 · 24/03/2019 20:17

The answer is none, as ALL kitten heels are hideous.

spanishwife · 24/03/2019 20:22

What bitch queen said

DeRigueurMortis · 24/03/2019 20:26

Personally I think the ones with the thinner strap look more elegant and more formal.

Meet0nTheledge · 24/03/2019 20:33

The toe strap on the thin ones looks uncomfortable, as if it is too tight and the toes have been squashed in. It looks ok side on but not from the front. However I do think they look more formal than the thick ones.

Palominoo · 24/03/2019 20:39

I don't like either but thicker pair are marginally less hideous.

slithytove · 24/03/2019 20:53

😂 agree
Kitten heels suck

Hive mind... what about these?

(Friend has said “fucking mumsnet, opinionated lot, now I have to return my kitten heels”) 😂😂

OP posts:
Palominoo · 24/03/2019 21:06

The higher heel is much better.

FairyMoppings · 24/03/2019 21:28

Yes, the latest Debenhams ones are nicer. Not too high, but more attractive than the kitten heels

Oblomov19 · 24/03/2019 21:37

Mn and kitten heels? Hmm
Christ almighty what's wrong with kitten heels? most mn'ers only wear flats. I love wearing heels and wear kittens for work all the time. any heel height is better than flats, mostly.

slithytove · 24/03/2019 21:43

We are having a wobble
Heels need to be appropriate for walking through cape town so not too high! Need 4-5cm black straps sandals....

Back to the kitten heels we go
