ADHD medication Concerta XL

This has been prescribed for my DS (10) for adhd, he also had asd. I have read the side effects and its worried me a lot to be honest. On the other hand he is really not coping and I am at a loss as to what to do next. Can anyone help me organise my thought or offer an opinion?

No, you are not an ineffective parent. CAMHS tried to lay that on me /I triednto lay it on myself when dd was cutting and v depressed.

We are a stable, happy family, v comfortable, dc at the best schools, etc. It took a psychiatrist to say to me "she has an incredibly good life so this is something clinical and we need to look for the reason" to help me sleep at night again.

Thanks all. He's refusing to go to school again today. DH is at home anyway at the moment so he can have him. We have the opportunity to move schools, seriously considering it as a fresh start

Starts concerta lx today, feeling apprehensive and wondering if he should still go to the gym?
