I have a very specific question about Wilko

I need lots of forks fairly urgently. I remember Wilko selling packs of individual utensils rather than the usual spoon/fork/knife/teaspoon combo. Can anyone confirm or deny (or offer alternative fork sources)?

Asda/Morrisons sell individual if that helps

Frouby · 23/03/2019 19:03

Our big tescos do individual forks and I think wilcos does as well.

Or you could get plastic forks maybe? Is ot for visitors?

BluebadgenPIP · 23/03/2019 19:04

Tesco do this. And so do Poundland. Or you can order online if you have time for delivery x

Sainsbury’s definitely do, pack of 4 forks, same of knives etc. Wilco definitely do individual items just not in packs I think. So you can buy 1 knife or 3 forks.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 23/03/2019 19:06

If it’s forks for a party Poundland have them and they’re really not bad.

Cagliostro · 23/03/2019 19:10

Can’t remember about wilko but Robert dyas sell individually

EssentialHummus · 23/03/2019 19:13

Thanks all. Plastic not an option - it's for a community thing which is very environmentally-minded, and we've got real knives etc so plastic forks only will look odd (and we want to re-use). Cost-wise I thought Wilko would come out cheaper than Sainsbury's etc.

I am surprised to find they don't have them on their website, nor do Tesco or asda?

hugoagogo · 23/03/2019 19:25

Argos has some but £6.50 for 4!
Do you maybe have a Boyes where you are? I am sure they do them.

EssentialHummus · 23/03/2019 19:31

Never heard of Boyes. hugo they have individual knives on their website, weirdly. I have a dim memory of individual cutlery for sale in their Gillingham branch in about 2012, which is of limited usefulness in London in 2019!

Hmm, old fashioned hardware shop? home bargains?

alltimejo · 23/03/2019 19:49

Dunelm sell loose forks, some are £1 each.

viccat · 23/03/2019 20:14

I'm sure I've bought them from Poundland in packs of just forks or knives or spoons before but it was some time ago. Forever etched in my memory though as I got ID'd for buying ordinary knives and forks and I was at least 30 at the time...

Coffeeandcrumpet · 23/03/2019 20:20

What about somewhere like b+m

safariboot · 23/03/2019 20:20

I was in a large Asda the other day and noticed they had seperate knives/forks/spoons, I think they were £1 for four? (But didn't look closely).

You could also try Poundland.

You can get wooden/bamboo disposable forks, if they're something you'd consider. Asda have some listed on their website.

Magstermay · 23/03/2019 20:55

I ordered packs of wooden forks off amazon for a party. I realise they’re disposable but better than plastic and cheaper if you need a LOT.

emotionalaffair · 23/03/2019 20:57

Poundland do packs of four metal forks.

ScreamingValenta · 23/03/2019 20:59

Our Wilko deffo has them because we've got some. They're a bit crappy but do the job.

EssentialHummus · 23/03/2019 21:03

Ooh emotional that’s a good shout, thank you! And thank you screaming.
