Hi,
Got 10 days in Hoi An as part of a longer Vietnam trip. Going solo. Any thoughts/recommendations?
Thanks,
Ags 😁

That's meant to be a smiling face....

Ooh lucky you! Hoi An is so beautiful and atmospheric. I would say though that 10 days may be a bit too long just to spend there. We did that amount of time last summer and it did get a bit samey towards the end.

Hi Puppy,
I was wondering about that. I'm pretty flexible. Just need to confirm the next leg, but might reduce it to 7 nights.
Sounds like you enjoyed it though!

Agree with the PP. We did 4 nights in Hoi An. Its beautiful but 10 nights may be too much.

Yes we did enjoy it - the old town is very beautiful and the food was good. There are things you can do like food tours but we were at the end of a hectic holiday and just wanted to relax. Da Nang is also worth seeing but its a long drive from Hoi An

Thank you!

I was there for three nights / four-ish days as a solo traveller. That was plenty. I hired a bike two days and cycled to the beach (I was on a three week travelling holiday so it was a nice bit of downtime).

There's a really famous Bahn Mi stand that you must visit, can't remember its name but I'm sure you'll find it if you Google it.

I travelled to Hoi An from Hue, and went on the train. It's a 2.5 hour-ish journey along the coast, it's a beautiful ride.

I was thinking about breaking the tone between Hoi An and Hue. You'd recommend the train then?

Time, not tone Hmm
