Public kissing.

Hope I spelt the title right!

Just had a terrible tube ride across from a couple who couldn't go a minute without kissing. Not snogging, but a quick lip peck that came with a "shhloip" noise every time. I think an occasional kiss in public is tolerable, but this was constant.

Shhoip!

Makes me glad I've never found anybody who loved me!

Shhloip!

Shhloip!!!

Yeah,I'm Not keen on public displays of affection, the odd peck fine but anything else is completely unnecessary imo.

🤢

Were they teenagers? I agree I sometimes give dp a quick peck in public if we are saying goodbye or something but not in to massive pda either!

formerbabe · 23/03/2019 10:11

Eugh, I hate this.

Mysterian · 23/03/2019 10:11

30s, but he had a slightly hipster beard. Probably something to hide. Hmm

[sick]

Dyingforchocolate · 23/03/2019 10:15

Totally no excuse for it then in your 30s 😂

amusedbush · 23/03/2019 10:15

I'll give DH a peck if we are saying hello or goodbye but I can't bear to see people snogging in public.

Palominoo · 23/03/2019 10:17

Such pathos! I did laugh though and completely empathise with you!

I'd have given them my Dame Edna look....

Public kissing.
Mysterian · 23/03/2019 10:23

Despite being chronically English I was seriously close to beginning to start to thinking about saying something.

Maybe you should have tried aversion therapy on them and given each one a sharp rap on the knee each time they puckered up.

BitchQueen90 · 23/03/2019 10:51

Ugh I hate this.

SimonJT · 23/03/2019 10:53

I wouldn’t dare kiss my partner in public, I don’t see if that often, but a while ago a couple were snogging on the central line and managed not to fall over, so i was quite impressed!

CoconutSpongeCake · 23/03/2019 11:06

I hope you tutted and looked strongly disapproving at least.

Take comfort in the fact that most of the carriage would have been thinking the same thing.

hopl · 23/03/2019 11:08

HATE this. I regret to say that my parents indulge in disgusting PDA often Confused

Elephantina · 23/03/2019 11:13

Ewww, your phonetic description is perfect.

I know someone that does this to their children (6 and 4 ish), repeatedly. On the lips. Each to their own, but when one of the children was sitting with me they kept planting "shloips" lovingly on my face. I was a bit weirded out, but figured it was me being repressed and that was simply how they had learnt to show affection.

Grown adults though, do get a room dear.

ginyogarepeat · 23/03/2019 11:25

I used to get a double decker bus into work each morning - there were only ever seats left on the top deck at the front and I frequently ended up sitting behind this couple who insisted upon nibbling each other's ears and full on snogging every single morning. Vile.

anniehm · 23/03/2019 11:41

Unless it's midnight and they are drunk, no, yuck. A quick peck in the car when I drop him but otherwise I need to have seen the bottom of at least one bottle of wine and even then ... I'm not 18!

Happierlife · 23/03/2019 11:47

I know a 40 year old who behaves like that...🤢🤢

Lost5stone · 23/03/2019 12:21

Ewww. We were in France last year waiting for a train ride at the zoo and a couple stood kissing and sort of rubbing into each other in front of us in the queue. Worse thing was their kid (about 4) stood next to them looking awkward

Mysterian · 23/03/2019 20:47

Surely you expect it in France Lost? Pepe Le Pew was French after all.
