Anyone know anything about setting up / running charities

As part of my job I have been asked to revive a dormant charity and get it going. I have access to some documents and one trustee. I've got some ideas on what the charity should do, I understand that it's objects are well aligned (although I don't speak legal) but I need some advice on how to get it going. Anyone signpost me to useful sources of help for the following, or know themselves?

How to remove trustees who don't do anything - nothing in the docs about it. I guess some might resign but some might not want to

Whether I can just pick up a role of secretary /worker if there isn't anything in thr governing doc about it. Do I need to register with charity commission? Or can it just be a decision in a meeting.

Pressed too soon. I am sure I have many more questions but this is a starter.
Thanks to any experts

The charity commission have well written guidance (easy to understand if you're new to charities)
