How much should I pay this student for 2 hours work?

We're having an anniversary party later this spring and would like some photos taken of the event. I am going to contact a local sixth form type college and asked if a photography student would be interested in coming along for a couple of hours to take some informal pictures and wondered how much I should be offering to pay? Thoughts welcome please

Is it just two hours work? What about downloading the photos and sifting through the good and bad and all the editing afterwards?

£30? I have no idea really that just seems fair. It's a bit of a gamble. Will you mind if they are not good?

I think you should be asking what they charge. Not telling them what they’ll pay?
