Unfortunately Brexit is about as successful as a chocolate fire guard . I actually voted remain . And now with the terrifying prospect of Brexit looming ive been day dreaming that the queen would just dissolve parliament and call for another general election. I googled this however and unfortunately it’s not possible?! I’m thinkinging we’re all doomed and I won’t be able to drink away my sorrows as prosseco will be £3490789 a bottle

I wonder what the queen is thinking ATM?

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 22/03/2019 17:05

It would be ideal wouldn't it? What's the fucking point of the Queen if she can't lock them all in the tower do anything to sort this mess out?

Theknacktoflying · 22/03/2019 17:06

She’s alright - her husband is Greek and family is German ....

Leafyhouse · 22/03/2019 17:07

Sod the election. Let's just dissolve parliament, hand it all over to Queenie (she'll do absolutely nothing, which is the least harmful option at the moment). Then we turn the Palace of Westminster into an awesome nightclub and wait for doomsday. Glitterball Wine Gin

I think the queen should invite Tresemme round and then she and Chazza bundle her into William's waiting helicopter with the revoke letter that George has already written and fly her to Brussels to deliver it

I can dream

Chillyegg · 22/03/2019 17:12

I really hope she’s called Farage, Cameron May and the rest , into her office and given them such a billocking.
As someone who’s supported the common wealth and forming unions all her life I bet she rolled her eyes so hard that her hat wobbled whenballt his started!

I wouldn't mind five years under an absolute monarchy tbh. Anything to change the current status quo. Revoke A50, dissolve Parliament and put a freeze on everything. Use the time to give us a bit of stability and do the repairs on the House of Commons.

General Election 2024 alongside repeat of EU ref.

TeaForDad · 22/03/2019 17:50

Leave or remain, all we can agree on is the total farce both sides have made of it.
I'd love to see the queen rock up and sack them all

DGRossetti · 22/03/2019 17:55

As a soft republican, I can't help but recall all the times we were told that having a monarchy was a bulwark against the perpetual state of chaos foreigners always seemed to be in.

Well, there goes that argument ....
