dropped my phone in boiling water

I dropped my phone in a bowl of boiling water (and mint if it matters) phone still works but I can hear water in it when I press/shake it. The screen was cracked anyway so guess the water has got in it.

Any idea how to know if it’s safe to charge? This is one of many piles of shit in a terrible week so I hope there’s a simple solution to this one

I was told to put it in rice overnight. Seemed to work for mine.
I wouldn't charge it if you can still hear water!

It seems to be swollen, I’ll try the rice thanks for suggestion. I’m not sure how I’ll know when it’s ok to charge.

Leave it for a couple of days, just to be safe! I've done this a couple of times and it's recovered fine, just don't be tempted to rush it!

Take the battery out if you can and put phone and battery somewhere warm in a bowl of rice for at least a couple of days.
