I've just bought some.... Wonder what they will taste like? Will try one this afternoon with my cup of tea! Anyone else tried them yet?

They sound nice! How were they?

comedycentral · 22/03/2019 13:28

They sound lovely!

dreamyflower · 22/03/2019 13:28

Ooooo they look lovely. Where did you buy them?

GottenGottenGotten · 22/03/2019 13:33

I blame you! I read your thread this morning before I headed out and said nothing, as I thought the chance of me getting any locally was slim...

Well, popped into the local shop to grab something for lunch and they had a big display of Mr kipling products.. Lo and behold!

I wouldn't have even looked at the display had I not seen this post. So this is your fault! Grin

Elderflower is one of the few flavours I'm wary of. Probably because people kept assuming I'd want to force the cordial down my throat when I was pregnant. Just makes me think of morning sickness.

But they do look nice!

WaywardTraveller · 22/03/2019 15:08

I really didn't like these. Not sure why... tasted a bit chemically maybe? The hot cross slices, on the other hand, are delicious

Elderflower14 · 22/03/2019 15:31

Well I've had one...... They taste nice. I can taste a lot more lemonade than elderflower!

I don't know how you stuck to one. Mr kipling slices are like crack cocaine!

ToEarlyForDecorations · 22/03/2019 16:31

I saw those the other day. I thought what will they think of next flavours wise. (Whilst not wishing to and well aware that I did sound like Strange Uncle Bryn commenting on the new flavours of Baileys. Without a hint of a Welsh accent.) That'll be from Gavin and Stacey. I do well for someone who says they didn't watch that t.v. show.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 22/03/2019 16:33

Mr Kipling cakes. I daren't. OK, just one...…..whole box.

Sultana slices. Bakewell slices. Plus all the etc. The cake aisle in a supermarket is like a drug deal to me !

Kpo58 · 22/03/2019 16:33

I want to try them, but I've gone off Mr Kipling as everything tastes so synthetic. Sad

Elderflower14 · 22/03/2019 16:52

I ended up eating two!!

Lemonade flavoured cake, oh yeah! 😂

LittleAndOften · 22/03/2019 17:04

@kpo58 this is a lovely recipe for the country slices. Even better than Mr Kipling!

I haven't seen them but it makes me happy knowing they exist.

SilverySurfer · 22/03/2019 17:14

I'm assuming they contain palm oil, so inedible.

TapasForTwo · 22/03/2019 17:22

"I really didn't like these. Not sure why... tasted a bit chemically maybe?"

IMO all of Mr Kipling's stuff tastes artificial and overly sweet. I much prefer home baking.
