Northern Irish Mumsnetters- why is there such low number of signatures on the Revoke Article 50 petition?

Given that NI voted to remain in the referendum, and is the area of the UK that is likely to be most affected by Brexit I was somewhat gobsmacked to see such low numbers signing? What can we do to get numbers up? I have hassled all my family and friends to do it already!

Realism? Previous experience of being ignored by those in government, the decision not to partake because we have no government in Stormont and are being left to flounder, sick of being used by both those who want to remain and those who want to leave as a politically expedient football, anger and resentment at being thought of as the problem that has to be fixed?

I'm not in your target group for response to this.

But my observation is that you are falling into the trap of thinking that a 5minute online wonder is more representative than a opinion when formally consulted.

It is entirely possible that the level,of NI response is what should be expected, given the level of the bore, and that everywhere else is the unrepresentative bubble.

Confirmation bias is rife
