What can I do with tahini(besides make hummus)?

I bought some recently to make a vegetarian recipe but I have completely forgotten which recipe I was going to make. I don't want to make hummus so what else can I do with it? Any recipes/suggestions would be very welcome. TIA

put a few tablespoons in a bowl and mix with hot water (it sort of seizes up at first, and then goes creamy), then add yogurt, lemon juice, plenty of salt and garlic - makes a lush dressing for roast veges or green beans. Or for roast chicken in pita breads, mmm

you can use it baking too - I've made biscuits with honey as well, they were good

I always have a tub of these little squares in my freezer.

Ottolenghi has a good biscuit recipe.
Alternatively, you can make it into a sauce if you Mix it with lemon juice, garlic and thin it with water. I put this on lamb, roasted aubergine, chicken kebabs, bloody everything. It’s great

oh yes, and on toast with marmite!

Make Halva!

Or on toast with soy sauce.

On porridge, drizzled over fruit, in brownies.

Fatteh (chickpeas with yoghurt and toasted bread) is amazing and uses tahini.

Cauliflower, roasted garlic and tahini soup 🤤

KoraBora · 21/03/2019 20:17

Baba Ganoush. I use the Jamie Oliver recipe, it's delicious and an excellent alternative if you are getting fed up of hummus.

MotherFeeder · 21/03/2019 20:23

I hate tahini but my friend makes the best chocolate and tahini brownies.. they are sensational

JellyBeanScene · 21/03/2019 20:27

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions. It looks like I'll be buying more tahini so that I can try all of them out.
