I’m feeling pretty down in the dumps. Please cheer me up by telling why today was a good day for you? Or a joke... or something funny your kids said/did. Anything really Smile

Why down in the dumps op, perhaps we could help?

I had a great day today as my son had his confirmation and the black dress I bought last week loved lovely.

I feel sad for him though as his friends have been posting pictures of all the money they got and he got only a fraction of what they did as they have more family.

I had the afternoon off work to take DS to his Grade 1 guitar exam. He’s 10, and usually a complete hare-brain, but he’s really focused on his music recently and put in loads of practice. He was calm and confident and came out smiling. Then we went and got massive ice creams to celebrate just having done it!

Iv been a bit down lately, luckily I know why.
I can't stand mess and clutter. The kids bedrooms were getting ridiculous, so this morning I decided to tackle them! Managed 3 bedrooms, landing and bathroom. Tomorrow I will do living room and garden. Rest of house is ok. I feel so so much better mentally and shattered physically so well worth it! Hope you manage to find the cause for feeling down in the dumps Wine

Good day here, in a weird way.
I killed a nest of vipers with kindness....... aka I bough chocolate biscuits for the stay and play group full of women who don't like me! They squirmed when they had to say thanks 😜

Small child announced he liked his new big Dick.... aka STick! Had to ask him to repeat himself a few times whilst sniggering to myself.

Set up the hot tub in prep for warmer spring weather and ordered chemicals so I can get it filled next week.

Early to bed for a date with my duvet x

I've had a 4th good day on the trot with my new fat loss regime, did loads of exercise and loved every second.
I also got £200 back from my old energy provider. Get in! Shopping on Saturday...

My dd (2) stuck a torch on her head (switched on) and starting coming up the stairs singing

‘appy burday to youuuuuu’

It’s not her birthday
Or mine

Creased me up.

Why you fed up?

Pastaallday · 21/03/2019 19:51

I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time :)

Motherofcreek · 21/03/2019 19:52

Aww pasta Smile

Grin love the random things kids do! My friend’s little boy says “big dick” too for stick! Well done to those that have achieved something today as well!

I’m just heavily pregnant, lonely and feeling a bit sorry for myself after a crap performance review at work, but never mind.

I took my children swimming where they had a whale of a time going on flumes.
We had a lovely dinner out at an Italian restaurant.
They are now both sound asleep.
I have red wine, a fire going and am thinking about having a sauna in my secluded woodland lodge.
Ten points to Hufflepuff if you can guess where I am Grin

I was teaching two girls who are relatively new to English about 3D shapes and their properties. We were talking about their names, and how many faces, verticies and edges they had. I got to the last one (a sphere), held it up and asked if they knew what it was called. One of them just said "Zero, zero, zero!" really enthustically, and they both cracked up. Could not get them to stop laughing, and they ended up making me laugh too. They then spent the rest of the afternoon randomly coming up to me and saying: "Zero, zero, zero!" multiple times.

I love my job.

Chocolateisfab · 21/03/2019 20:19

My ds 4 sat while I was decorating his db room and wrote all the names of our family members +ages and house door numbers!
And managed not to get any paint on him at all.
More than can be said of ddog...
And it's looking like we have enough money for ddog's major op next week.
Saw 2 butterflies in the park - always makes me smile.
Oh and ddog didn't growl at any ddogs on the walk. Maybe she knows it's op time soon and is behaving!

TableforJane · 21/03/2019 20:21

Bunnyhop1502 that sounds amazing! Centre parcs or similar? Enjoy your red wine. I’d drink a bottle if I could - worst thing about pregnancy!!

Yes at Center Parcs! Supposed to be going home tomorrow but thinking about staying for the weekend too. Nowhere to be so why not!

RainbowMum11 · 21/03/2019 21:28

Saw my first hot air balloon of the year - seeing them always fills me with the excitement I felt as a child to see the giant balls with baskets floating through the sky, and they are a true sign of spring & summer round here.

PJ04JCW · 21/03/2019 21:35

Fivetoomany I de-cluttered too! My PILs now have a bedroom to sleep in this weekend rather than a junk heap. Three or four banana boxes ready for charity shop tomorrow and loads of stuff for sale on FB marketplace.
Tableforjane hope you feel better soon.
