Going back to work.
3 days - 27k
4 days - 41k

I really wanted to do 3 but its such a big difference.

Work out the difference after the extra tax, childcare if relevant, travel and possibly lunches/dry cleaning. It will be much smaller.

Is this the same job? The difference in salary doesn't look that way as 3 days is 9k/day and 4 days just over 10k/day.

My comments about the effect of tax, childcare still stands, but if they are different jobs, consider other factors such as the 3 day one might be truely PT workload, but the 4 day one might effectively be expecting you to do a full time workload in 4 days.

They are different roles - 4 days would be keeping my management position, 3 days would lose it. So 3 days would def be less in terms of workload.
