Hi All,
I have my first interview tomorrow in over 15 years & since becoming a Mummy 10 years ago - obviously nervous!

its as a School Administrator in my child's school and there is a typing test amongst others - please can anyone give me an further insight or tips on what I can do today to help myself other than practicing my typing speeds.

I've heard there are sometimes several tests so any insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

For any job in a school, you can expect interview questions about safeguarding and confidentiality- What would you do if a child told you a,b,c? What would you do if a parent [bumps into you out of school and] asks you about x,y,z?

The other tasks might be to write or edit a letter/ piece for the school newsletter (to check your spelling, grammar and punctuation) or some kind of in-tray exercise to see how you prioritise tasks (remember Safeguarding always comes first).

Not completely answered your question.
What can you do?
If you've said on the application that you have any kind of qualifications, including GCSEs, then find the certificates as you'll be asked to provide them in the next few days if you get the job.

Have a chat with your child about how you want them to behave when they see you in school tomorrow.

Good luck.

Show you have knowledge of the importance of safeguarding and how to spot red flags.

Find out the school motto/values or similar and think about ways you display those values

Mention that you already have a passion for the school as your DD attends, you have a good rapport with parents etc

Good luck!
