I'm recovering from surgery at the moment and unable to do much. Bored out of my skull and spending a lot of time flicking through channels. I don't have Sky but do have Freeview and I have discovered some absolute crackers. Favourites so far:

Murder She Wrote
Diagnosis Murder
Father Dowling Mysteries (the cast of these three appear to be largely interchangeable and I love that you can see the same actor play a completely different character a few episodes later Grin).

Another - Walker, Texas Ranger is absolutely shit but addictive.

Anymore appalling recommendations to help fill my days for now?

Border patrol. All the varieties - protecting Canada's borders, uk border force, border me up with a fucking big American wall etc (ok I made that one up). I like the predictability of the format. It's soothing.

Also, my absolute favourite - Beyond Belief: Fact Or Fiction. A series of completely implausible stories (sample: a talking doll tells detectives the identity of a murderer) with a cozy voiceover inviting you to determine if they are, indeed, fact or fiction. The host has a kinky beard and presents it from what 2000's idea of a futuristic but fairly cheap vision of a psychological game show would look like. It is superb. Think it's on one of the CBS channels. Good luck with your recovery. Flowers These shows got me through major surgery a couple of years ago.

Made in Chelsea is starting soon! I'm ashamed of myself but i love it. Also check out true life movies, that channel is free. Nothing more comforting than a shitty movie starring Eric Roberts or similar.
