Is it unusual for my Christmas poinsettia is still very much alive?

It is steadfastly refusing to be dead.
Is this normal?

My mother thinks it’s very odd.

Just yesterday admitting that ours has died.

I get the sense from this thread that fannying about with them will bring on certain doom.
I’m going to ignore mine completely bar the twice weekly watering.

I repotted the one I had 2 years ago, and placed it onto the kitchen window - it's now a bush!

Wow! Mine lasted until the end of Feb. I hadn't thought about repotting. I'll try that with my Christmas 2019 Poinsettia
