Gift idea for retiring boss

My boss at work is retiring. He’s really supported my career so much over the years and I want to get him something nice but practical. His hobbies include wine and cricket.. any suggestions?

I’d go with a nice bottle of wine (or a fortified wine option if the idea of selecting a bottle for him scares you)

How about a bottle of wine or port from a significant year?
I've bought ones for 21st birthdays from birth year, also silver wedding gifts. Perhaps the year he started at the company?

Not sure how much it would cost these days but we got a caricature done of one of our retiring managers which references things from the office and his hobbies and it went down exceptionally well
