Idle speculation... what would happen if

Theresa May resigned and NOBODY was willing to run for PM? I mean I realise that this is highly unlikely but if TM steps down the job isn't exactly appealing just now is it? So that got me thinking, what would have to happen? Tm forced to stay on? Emergancy general election? Somebody else randomly made to stand? Please indulge me

I think there are many who would love her job but I don't think they have the balls to do it!

I mean, I know it's unlikely because the reality is that somebody will always do it, you just end up with somebody shit/unsuitable/bonkers if we haven't already! But I just wondered what would happen if the whole lot said " no thanks!!"
