Best simple photo/ image editor please!

Just for simple stuff, jokey stuff like superimposing a cartoon kitten climbing over a mountain range, say!

Any ideas? Ta!

Depending on device you are using, i use juxtaposer on my ipad. Load a background image, load a top image, cut the top image where you want then scale and move it over the bottom. It has a load more pros worth checking out but it'll do what you want.
