Anyone been to Alnmouth?

Going for a weekend to Alnmouth by train. We won’t have a car but just want to laze around going for walks and eating food.

Anyone got any tips?

It's beautiful. The station is not in Alnmouth itself - about a mile or so outside. It's a while since I have been there so I wouldn't be able to recommend places to eat though. You can also get a bus into Alnwick.

It's a gorgeous place. Alnwick definitely worth a visit and easy to get to on the bus. There's also a coastal bus which takes in a lot of the coastal castles and beautiful scenery.

Alnmouth is lovely. Nice beach walk. You can get the bus to Alnwick for the Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle. Barter Books in Alnwick is a fab second hand book shop (huge). The cafe at Barter Books is good.

You can get the bus to Amble too which has some great places to eat.
