If asked for the show me question how to wash and clean the rear windscreen and the mechanism is broken will the candidate fail?

I don’t know for sure but I think if you can demonstrate how you would do it as opposed to actually physically doing it, it should be ok. Or demonstrate it as far as you can.
Failing that, it’s only a minor if they don’t accept it so it’s hardly worth losing sleep over!

I think they would abandon the test as the car is not considered test worthy. Get it fixed beforehand.
