So my second child and actually second son's birthday is coming up and I have no idea what to get him. Our first son got a smart trike and has loads of toys that my second son can play with but I feel so guilty not getting him anything new for this special day. Please help

Do you have a little pop up play tent? If not I really recommend it.
My dds loved playing in theirs and it folds away flat so doesn't need much space to store it.

Roll of tin foil

Even for my first I just wrapped up second hand stuff for his first birthday! He had a new book which we wrote in to commemorate the occasion.... but that was the only new thing we got him!
I think it's a waste of money buying a 1 year old loads of brand new stuff.... they do like wrapping paper though so we wrapped everything up!
I'd just wrap up your first old baby toys tbh!! Get some balloons!! 1 year olds dont care about new things at all and they will grow out of age appropriate toys really quickly.

We had the same issue recently.
Thankfully he’s into some different things - got him a wooden train that has shapes and animals that stack on the carriages. But otherwise we kept it really simple as he has everything his brother has grown out of to play with. His favourite thing though was a helium balloon.

Yeah a rocket one and tunnel... it's so hard when you've got 2 of the same. I don't even think there first one is particularly spoilt either

Problem is the 1st one knows everything that is his so then it's hard to make him share something that's his. If it's bought specifically for the second them he knows it's not his

We bought a load more sand for the sandpit.
Dd2 also got her own named melamine dinner and cutlery set.
I think we also got her a set of finger puppets and some new bath toys but that was about it!
