What are your hobbies?

Just that really. Turning 30 imminently and feeling a little bit like I'm just Mum, Wife and WorkBot right now. I've always liked writing but since I had my DC I've found it very very difficult to produce anything decent. Feel like I need a hobby which will be a part of my life that's just mine, and wondered if you have a hobby that you love - what is it?

Just to say, I can't drive so anything that involves having to drive anywhere is out.

Luckily I have many hobbies! Finding time to do them is an issue, but i tend to find time now and again. Here's a list of some of my hobbies:

  1. Witchcraft
  2. Collect British Victorian Stamps and envelopes
  3. Collect Welsh Porcelain from Nantgarw and Swansea Factories, and ceramics from the various Welsh factories.
  4. Make silver and gold jewellery.
  5. Collect fountain pens.
  6. Walking and cycling
  7. Photography
  8. Fixing my Mg car
  9. Painting Warhammer figures and making dioramas with them.
10. Watercolour and acrylic painting (though usually more collecting the equipment than actually paiting! LOL) Hobbies give you a few minutes by yourself, time to think and the opportunity to study.

Similar to @Fireinthegrate

Horse riding/owning - costs a fortune and is a complete lifestyle in itself so not for the faint hearted. A car is essential though, as is a big budget sadly.

I also keep pet chickens (Pekin bantams) - they are amazing, I love them dearly. They are not expensive once you get going.

Hello! I’m turning 30 this year too. It sounds so grown up. I’m lucky as I feel like I have quite a lot of time to myself, although always feel guilty about it as I ‘should’ be spending time with my kids (3 and 1)

I go to the gym 2x a week - stick the kids in Creche

Any craft

Watching Real Housewives 😄 does that count?

Have got back into reading lately which is sooooo good for my mental health! I try and switch to my book whenever I find myself on social media when ignoring/‘supervising’ the kids.

Pilates Sunday morning

My friend and I have just started a weekly exercise session - I have her 2 kids plus mine while she does a run, she comes back and has the kids while I run or go to gym. Could you do something like that?

I make cakes for a living so that’s a nice outlet

I’m really into sprucing up the house at the moment too, might try and get some enthusiasm for the garden too in the coming months - last year tried growing veg but it was hit and miss and a fair bit of effort! Very enjoyable though.
