Sure I have found a lump, or is it scar tissue?

I had mastitis approx 12 months ago, despite not breast feeding for 4 years. As part of that, I had a lump under the breast - imagine a mint humbug shoved under your boob. It was solely to do with the infection and was confirmed to be so after multiple scans and a biopsy.

I remember there being a "knot" in the boob after I had my biopsy.

Last night in bed i was itching myself and am sure i found a lump/knot. I asked DH to feel aswell and he says there's nothing there. I can feel it with my palm. Only just, but it's there. I am certain it's just the knot/scar tissue from the biopsy site. (The insertion was much further back from the biopsy site - they essentially inserted from the chest wall towards the nipple.)

Is it worth popping to the GP to be sure?

Absolutetly. My sister has a lump that was biopsied and told it was mastitis, it kept growing and eventually it was breast cancer. Not to scare you, but please don’t leave this.

Am I ok to wait a few days? I can't get an appointment 'til Friday due to work commitments.

I must say, the sonographer (specialist for the breast care team) was rather perturbed as she had never seen such a lump before...
