14 yr old - on anti depressants for anxiety and depression, self harms and possible ASD.
Have had a rollercoaster but appeared to be getting better on new dose of anti-depressants. School aware and very supportive - missed 17% of school so far this year.
Can't be in school today, having a very difficult day - has cut this morning and talks about wanting to die but admits that not brave enough to do anything more serious than superficially cutting arms - which is bad enough.
Safeguarding lead at school thinks I need to go back to a and e and get escalated. They suggested a facility called Forest House that a and e can refer to?
Already under Camhs though (psych we saw 2 weeks ago) but can't get immediate/urgent help.
I don't know what to do - instinct says they are better off at home under my care for a few days - they do not want to go to a and e. We have been a few times before and got nowhere really due to different counties and Camhs support already in place.
I have left a message with Camhs.
Any advice would be great thank you.
