I've been using oils for years but I was recently introduced to doterra and they were amazing but very expensive so I was wondering what brand others use.......

I’ve had good quality oils from a company called ‘Mother Nature’s Goodies’. They’re based in Wales. They have a website and also sell on eBay. I’d recommend them.

I get the ones from Holland and Barrett when they’ve got offers on

I get tisserand from TK Maxx, so much cheaper than going direct.

I mainly use Mothers Natures too but I couldn't believe the difference when I used the doterra. I will give young living a go......thank you 😍

Best to avoid the MLM companies Doterra and Young Living - see the mumsnet MLM threads

Luby40 · 19/03/2019 22:39

Just looked up Young living and the prices are pretty much the same as doterra!!
I'll read the LML threads tomorrow, thanks for the heads up 😉

Amphora Aromatics oils are excellent quality, used a lot by professional aromatherapists. I think they’re based in Bristol but they’ve got a website and do personal orders as well as trade. They’ve been going a long time. I wouldn’t touch MLM oils with a shitty stick, no matter how nice they smell! But that’s just my personal preference because I dislike MLMs.

WD40 is without a doubt the most indispensable oil as far as I am concerned. I use it on a variety of implements and contraptions to keep things turning.

Al2O3 · 19/03/2019 23:56

Oh....and kerosene is pretty amazing too. Especially when I have booked my holiday.

I get mine from Naturally Thinking. Basic ones- citrus, tea tree, eucalyptus etc- are about £4/10ml. Frankincense is about £12-£15. Some of the florals are incredibly expensive. The quality is good, though, and I think they’re quite ethical- they guarantee their sandalwood is legally produced, for example.

Someone else has recommended naturally thinking too.....oh and I can't get enough of WD40 but I have to say I buy the shops own brand as it does the same job and smells exactly the same, it's great quality 🤣

You playful OP you. Love it when posters flip replies to their threads like dolphins do fish on their noses. Grin Grin

I used to use Neals Yard essential oils when I was working as an therapist, they had to be good quality ones.
