I've gained 3kg in a week!

I’m bloated as hell in the middle, I’m normally a steady 72-73 (at 5ft 9 just a healthy weight) and never fluctuate. I haven’t eaten unusually, been doing yoga each morning. How would you get on top of this? My gut is tender and bloated. I’m 76kg this morning, I have never reached this.

That doesn't sound right. I think a trip to the GP is a good idea.

What are you eating? Are you pooing ok? Are you due on or ovulating? Have you had lots of salty stuff/take away/chain restaurant food?

JuniperGinYay · 18/03/2019 08:21

A bit constipated, not awfully. I don’t eat salty or fried food etc, I just eat too big potions of healthy food.

Re GP, it’d be over two weeks for an appt... so in the meantime....

are your scales on an even and hard surface?
change of battery needed?

Stormwhale · 18/03/2019 08:24

I think you might be more constipated than you think. I would massively increase my water intake, and see what happens. Perhaps try a constipation remedy too.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/03/2019 08:25

You need to see someone. The bloating and tenderness aren't normal. They'd always prefer to see someone than not if there are unusual symptoms. It's what they're there for.

TwitterQueen1 · 18/03/2019 08:25

Two weeks or not, you still need to go to the doctor.

Daubergine · 18/03/2019 08:29

Does your surgery have the option of ringing in first thing to get a same day appointment? I think you need to be seen and have bloods done.
