What is your favourite shower gel (or similar stuff) flavour?

What is the bear thinking at the end of We're Going On A Bear Hunt?

Most embarrassing music act that you'd still be willing to say was good?

My answers:

Lime.

It's a man in a bear suit and all he wanted was help because the zip was stuck.

Steps. They made some really catchy tunes.

"What is the bear thinking at the end of We're Going On A Bear Hunt?"

Pardon?

Mysterian · 17/03/2019 22:35

You've not read that book?!

Surely everybody has read it? The bear is seen wandering off in a manner some would say is sad. But what happen next? It's a bit like the end of the Italian Job.

Coconut

Can’t remember the book so don’t know...... 🤷🏼‍♀️

I still love Bucks Fizz.

Can I add a question?

Palominoo · 17/03/2019 22:38

Rose.

No idea what the bear question is about.

Can't think of any embarrassing music acts.

Twooter · 17/03/2019 22:41

Menthol/mint?
He was trying to eat them all surely?
I thought immediately of Steps before I saw your answers.

AssassinatedBeauty · 17/03/2019 22:42

Coconut

Those children are weird.

Bros

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 17/03/2019 22:42

I quite like the Madarine radox one

The Bear was only trying to tell them that there was an axe murderer hiding under their stairs

I find a couple of the Nolan sisters songs quite catchy!

Twooter · 17/03/2019 22:42

Black lace as an alternative to Steps after all, whatcan best ‘we’re having a Gang Bang’

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 17/03/2019 22:44

Oh and Dollar, was that how they spelt it?
They had some good tunes!
I am so old

LookImAHooman · 17/03/2019 22:44

Dewberry. Is that retro yet?

Poor bear is incredibly lonely.

I’ll go with Steps.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 17/03/2019 22:46

Lemon
He's lonely 😢
A-ha

StickyShoess · 17/03/2019 22:49

Coconut

He was berating himself for coming on too strongagain! He just wants a friend

Still love Westlife in fact my tickets for their tour this year arrived the other day, DP thinks I’m a loser but they had some belting songs Grin

Crunched · 17/03/2019 22:52

Pink Grapefruit

“Have you bought porridge?”

Take That

SleepyFlump · 17/03/2019 22:58

Old fashioned bar of pears soap.

Not read it but I REALLY want to now!

Another closet steps fan!

steppemum · 17/03/2019 22:58

don't like shower gel, only use scentless Dove soap.

The bear is sad, he just wanted to play.

I'm hopeless at bands, I grew up in the era of Adam Ant and Spandau Ballet, so my idea of sensible is very odd!

UatuTheWatcher · 17/03/2019 23:38

Only use soap, Nesti di Dante Floratine Rose and Peony by choice.

"All I wanted was a friend Sad"

Wet Wet Wet Blush

For those that don't know Bear Hunt here's Michael Rosen doing it. The kids always love doing the actions and and reating the words.

OpiesOldLady · 17/03/2019 23:42

I love pink grapefruit shower gel.

The bear is posed because he's been woken up and now he's awake and can't get back to sleep.

Boyzone.

RedHatsDoNotSuitMe · 17/03/2019 23:47

I also love grapefruit shower gel, and am pissed off that two PPs like it too (I thought I was going to be the first).

The bear is thinking/saying "why are you hunting me? And why do you think I'm scary"

And I love soooo many bad and embarrassing music things. Bros. Duran Duran. Practically all of disco (I'm thinking Michael Jackson is pretty embarrassing these days)

GREAT questions, OP. Not hugely on the same theme, but great questions! Star

Mysterian · 18/03/2019 06:10

Can't believe there are so many people who don't know the bear hunt story. What the heck were the children doing going in that cave?!

OP posts:
ShahOfSplosh · 18/03/2019 07:01

The bear was made up by the dad to enliven a walk. As was the snowstorm (because no-one is dressed for that weather). Dad realised he was going to miss the great British bake off and invented the bear to get everyone home again quickly.

AssassinatedBeauty · 18/03/2019 08:24

I learnt from a talk on the radio from the author that the oldest character is actually the big brother and not the dad like I'd always assumed.

KindergartenKop · 18/03/2019 13:17

@shahofsplosh no, the dad never even took them out. The whole outing was made up and they were playing in bed. Lazy man.

TheLastNigel · 18/03/2019 13:45

Honey

The bear is an imaginary creature born out of the children's collective fear and exhaustion having been lost and in adverse terrain and weather conditions for the whole bloody day.

What was the third question?

TheLastNigel · 18/03/2019 13:45

Oh the music.

Five. I used to absolutely love them!
