It’s my fiancé’s (will be then husband) 30th birthday in January.
We’re getting married in October this year, and are planning to combine our honeymoon and his 30th into a huge once in a lifetime holiday before we settle down and have children. However, I want to plan something small for the weekend of his birthday that is just for us but I’m stuck for ideas.
I was thinking a getaway but really not sure where/what to do 
. Does anyone have any places they’ve been that they loved (we’re up north near Preston) that’s within an hour or two’s drive? Also any ideas for activities would be so helpful. We both love the outdoors but not heights 
Any suggestions for a holiday or even just thoughtful presents would be greatly appreciated!
