Does anyone work 2 part time jobs here?

How does it work with paying tax? Especially if both jobs added together will pay just over the tax threshold and no more

I used to. You can get in touch with HMRC and ask to have your personal allowance split. Otherwise you will pay tax at 20% on the second job and then have to reclaim at the end of the tax year which is a bit frustrating

I do - I started a new PT job alongside my existing PT job last year and HMRC actually split my tax allowance across the 2 without me having to contact them. Once my starter info was sent off for job 2 it happened automatically. Which was nice cos you can be on hold for hours trying to get through on the phone. If you talk to the payroll person at either job they will probably have come across it before.

Yes I do at present; rang HMRC to sort tax code on second job.
