Anyone know this Sixties song?

Woke up with this song in my head the other day, pretty certain it's from the sixties or early seventies, and called "I Know". I was singing it to DH who said he'd never heard of it, and I've googled several lyrics sites and it's not on any of them. This is what I remember :
I know,
Whatever I could do, I've done,
Hoping to love you so no one
Could say I haven't really tried.

I know,
I'll always love you till the end,
It's no use trying to pretend,
I'm still in love with you.

Anyone ever heard of it, it's really annoying me now! Whoever sang it must have had a reasonable hit with it, or I wouldn't remember those lyrics! Grin

Male or female vocal?

Clawdy · 17/03/2019 10:02

I think male, but could be wrong!

Thanks, but it's not that one. Pretty certain it's called I Know. Such a mystery!

Sounds like something Take That might have done...

Clawdy · 17/03/2019 10:49

Yes, it does rather.....The last line gets repeated a few times "I'm still in love with you. ..."

Al Green?

The Vejtables - I Still Love You, but slightly different lyrics

Clawdy · 17/03/2019 12:16

Not Al Green, and not the Vejtables (love that name!) Although it's a song about unrequited love, it's sung in a fairly cheerful voice.....as I remember. When he sings "I know...." voices quietly echo " yeah, yeah, I know.." before the next line.
