yup. I think it is using IP addresses or location settings. So sometimes these might be registered to the town next to you.

I know where my IP address has me registered, I keep getting email notifications for last logins from there (next area over) and if I'm logged out of Ebay, it calculates the distance from there too.

Definitely something to do with the location settings on your phone/PC...mine consistently think I'm 100 miles further north than I actually am. Cute pics though.

I've got my location turned off so it didn't work. The meows are a bit weird!

It got the right country (Ireland) but the wrong province, out by 100km or so. My tablet's location settings must be awry.

It told me I was in London. That didn't surprise me - I'm actually in NW England but using a vpn. My work computer thinks I'm in France, where my head office is... maybe I'll try the kittens on that tomorrow and see if I can get some French miaous.

I've done this three times, choosing different kitty pics, and each time it gave my location as the nearest town, about three miles away.
Had the iPad on silent the first time so had to do it again to experience the meows!

When I tried it, it told me I was in Chorley. I'm actually in the Midlands, but I was in Lancaster yesterday.
