I’m in a position where I’m considering it as a short term measure, for the financial gain.
In the long run, I plan to take on an apprentice/ assistant to help out with the easier admin related tasks, whilst I complete the more difficult ones, so it won’t be forever. I already have someone in mind that this role would suit (and she’s happy to be on board on a very flexible basis- fully on the books/PAYE etc)
But potentially, I’ll need to do long hours (nothing too horrific but more than I’m used to) for a few months to have everything ready and organised for me to take on someone.
I have young children (nursery and school age) and a very good support network. Husband works full time but could potentially reduce his own hours (and would probably happily consider it)
Does anyone have any words of wisdom? I’m considering a cleaner a couple of times per week, already have a tumble dryer, no room or scope for a dishwasher. Plan in place for children to not be in nursery for too long a day at a time (family help after ‘school hours’) Will ensure husband does his share of everything (he’s quite good in the first place, but no initiative with it). Will probably invest in an instant pot... can’t think of much else!
Any advise or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
