Experiences of copper coil

Hi all I have had my second baby recently and want a long term contraception as we are just using condoms atm.
I dont do well with hormones, used to be on the patch for a few years, bad mood swings.
Any experiences with the copper coil? My periods have always been light, regular and no pain

Fantastic. So much better than having hormonal contraceptives. Periods were heavier and longer for 6 months after fitting but soon went back to normal. Only problem is getting an appointment to have one fitted- currently waiting to get mine after having DD 6 weeks ago. Appointments are like gold dust where I Live!

Mine was painful being put in and AGONY when they took it out, at one point they thought they'd lost it and were digging around like they were looking for long lost treasure. Never again
