I'm ravenous!

Lying on a surprisingly comfortable campbed next to DD's bed, but can't get to sleep (natch, this is a hospital ward) and am bloody ravenous. Dd wasn't hungry this evening, but was tempted when she saw me eating, so of course I let her have my food. Now, even if it was quiet, even if we didn't boing into alertness every time someone approached (thinking it's her medication at last) I wouldn't be able to fall asleep because I'm sooooo hungry. DD's pasta salad is in the fridge, and she's got biscuits in her drawer, but if I eat wheat I will be farting and refluxing tomorrow, and feeling even worse than merely sleep-deprived.

Moan over.

Being hungry at night is horrible. I there any way you could get a cup of tea or hot chocolate? I know it’s not the same, but may take the edge off it.

Hot drinks at bedtime also trigger my reflux.

I'll survive. I'm just so thankful for all that has happened today for my dd, that I'm turning into a Pollyanna - I needed to moan about something!

I could murder a curry right now.

Horrible being hungry in hospital- that's a lot of Hs :) reminds me of nil-by-mouth before an operation.

Was going to ask how your DD was OP but sounds like she's doing ok?
