I've seen it twice now. How do I get rid of it? Is there a trap I can get or what? I'm not scared of mice. Did shit myself when I first saw it, I thought it was a giant spider! Any ideas?

We struggled to get rid of them. They were in between floors. Snap traps only worked for a bit then we tried the pasta blocks but no luck. We ended up emptying sachets of grain poison onto two plates and came back after holiday with plates emptied and no sign since. We also filled every gap around house with wire wool which helped. They can squeeze through a gap the size of a pencil. We also stuck fine wire mesh over outside of air bricks. We removed our spotlights in ceiling and pushed poison through gaps.

Peanut butter on a mouse trap has always done it for me.
I'd suggest getting a cat, but it's always my bloody cat that brings the poor things in in the first place.

Maybe snap traps are the way to go then. Will need to put it somewhere dd won't walk in and see a dead mouse. I've got a basement which isn't insulated or anything. Theres gaps under the counter top cupboards as well so dont think I can reach to block any holes under there. I've been here 3 years and he's the first I've seen so hoping there won't be anymore

If you have one mouse chances are you have several... Bait some snapper traps with chocolate, place around the inside walls (mice don't like to run out into the open) and once you've caught one, reset the traps for a week or so to see if you catch any more. First winter in this house we had more than 10, over a period of two weeks. It grossed me out to learn that mice are incontinent and just trickle wee everywhere they go - ewww.
