Unexpected Friday night...

DP away out with friends...

DS1 has a birthday party tonight, mum and dad were watching DS2 for me. Went in and DS2 was in his jammies already and they told me to leave DS1 as well and go home and have a night to myself.

It's been a hellish week at work, DS2 has had the worst week sleeping in a long time and I've been feeling just generally rubbish. I left them both and went via Lidl and bought an 11 quid bottle of champagne for only me and have ordered myself a Chinese takeaway. Now for a shower and comfies on and my night is complete when I've decided what to binge watch on Netflix!

Although now I have the mummy guilt that I took up the chance to leave them so quick! Blush

Anyone else having an unexpected Friday night?

My ex was having kids tomorrow night but his shifts changed so he asked to have them tonight too. I've been to tesco, had a bath and now sat with wine and chocolate watching comic relief.

Your night sounds perfect! Can you watch Killing Eve?

missmartini · 15/03/2019 20:38

@wendz86 that sounds fab! I'm very jealous of your bath, I only have a shower in my house! I used to love a bath bomb!

@HelmutFrontbut oh not heard of that is it on Netflix?

I rarely have a bath but had my hair cut today and was washed so thought a bath would be nice.

Enjoy netflix!

Windingstreams · 15/03/2019 20:41

Why would you feel guilty?!

Watch Russian Doll it’s ace

missmartini · 15/03/2019 20:44

@Windingstreams lol if you'd seen me you'd understand, they barely got the offer out of "why don't you leave them bo..." and I was like "OK!!! NOT A PROB! ASLONG AS YOUR SURE!" 😂😂😂

Aw, good for you, what a nice surprise. Enjoy your evening !

CaseofEllen · 15/03/2019 20:52

@missmartini bloody well enjoy it! PS what did you order from the Chinese?

anothermansmother · 15/03/2019 20:56

I'm jealous of your Friday night, I've had a very full on week including an interview today. I was so tired I could barely get my words out tonight. I made tea put on my pjs and I'm already tucked up in bed. My dc have protested that I'm making them go to bed early at the weekend but I just kept turning lights out until they gave in. Enjoy your Chinese food and a good nights sleep with a lay in!

I am away at a hotel with my middle child. We never have time alone and are off watching a sporting event tomorrow. A hotel room I don't need to tidy, a tea out and an all you can eat breakfast, yes please!

missmartini · 15/03/2019 21:06

@CaseofEllen I ordered a Singapore chow mien with a side portion of extra spicy curry sauce with onions....and salt and chilli mini spring rolls 😂😂😂

@anothermansmother I had that night last night! I was done in with work and lack of sleep we were all in bed by 7 lol I'll plan a nice day with them tomorrow to make up for tonight haha!

@Omahasomewhereinmiddleamerica a hotel sounds awesome and lovely to have time together! Hope you're having a great time!

Hope everyone is enjoying their night!

@missmartini sounds tasty! Hope the champagne is helping with the 'mum guilt' - enjoy the rest of your night.
