Anyone ever returned an item to CEX because it's stopped working?

I need to return a phone in the morning.

Phone itself works fine but the screen has gone black & it's brightness isn't turned right down.

I'm wondering whether they'll send it away for repair & what their customer service is like for returns.

Any experiences to share?

They have testing on site in my experience and will give you a time to come back. If they agree it’s broken then I think they refund or replace rather than send for repairs. I’ve only had to do it once but they did a straight swap.

Oh, that's good. I expected it being sent off to wherever & having to go back another day to pick it up!

Any idea how long it takes...or is it a 'piece of string' kind of thing?

Well they have a 2 year warranty. They'll probably just check it and swap it for another one.

Yes I did they replaced it the same day I brought the broken phone in.

They refunded me when my phone was broken as they didn't have my phone in stock when I took it in

Over about 10 years family have bought half a dozen MacBooks and probably 10 iPhones and 2 iPads from them. We’ve had a few issues over the years and never a problem fixing/swapping or refunding to sort them out.

@gamerchick so they do! I've just been reading the bottom of my receipt.

Blueemerald, I've had all sorts from them but never a problem (until now) so wasn't sure what they were like to return things to.

Fingers crossed it's easily sorted first thing tomorrow!
