Bingo.....to share or not share?

Off to bingo tonight with wirk colleagues. Would you share any winnings amongst the group? I'm of the opinion that each person is playing their own game, it's not a team attempt, like a quiz would be? Am I just being tight?!

I've only been twice but we always said we'd split up to 1k with life changing amounts a token gift. I'm sure those weren't the exact figures but you get the gist.

Dancingfairydreams · 14/03/2019 12:10

Hmmm ok, may be me being tight then, I've never split things before. They don't even settle on a minimum amount before splitting? I said anything over £100 but they literally want to split anything!

I won £15 on rock and roll bingo at our regular pub quiz with work. I kept it all but offered to buy a round. We keep any team winnings in a pot and it's shared.

As long as you are straight with them before you start playing, I can't see a problem with not sharing.

anitagreen · 19/03/2019 17:33

I think anything under £100 keep to yourself. But my mums friend won £10k and kept the lot wouldn't even put in for a kebab afterwards Shock

It doesn't matter what you agree as long as it's all said upfront.

Whatever you agree you don't know whether you will lose out or gain until one of you wins so it really doesn't matter.

Dancingfairydreams · 19/03/2019 18:05

It was agreed to share in the end...we shared a great big 0 in the end! 😂😂

I think you need to be in agreement with all before you go

We’ve always shared winnings

Once I won £1000 and shared with the other 4 so £200 each

Zoflorabore · 24/03/2019 07:51

What we've always done is this-

If 2 people go together then it's a 50/50 split.

If more than 2 people go together and someone wins then that person gets half for themselves and shares the other half out amongst the others.
This was my idea because once me and my 2 friends went and one of them won £1000.
By our old rules she would have kept £333 for herself and handed over £666 to us which didn't seem fair.
What happened was she kept £500 and me and our other friend split the other £500 and got £250 each.

I think it's fair. If it's decent money and someone wins and hands over 2/3 to others then I think that's wrong.
