Why do I always notice you????

NC as I don't want anyone recognising me and your opinions becoming skewed.

Just a random wondering.....

Does anyone regularly recognise another poster by name or style. Not recognise as in attribute to someone IRL, but regularly notice a particular poster or posters pop up on many threads? For good or bad?

I always think I would rarely notice names as there seems to be so many of us but I do see some everywhere I go!! Grin

I guess in particular topics this would be more common but in AIBU or chat, it's a lot of the same faces. Even with a NC, a style is telling.

I'm irrationally irritated by one poster who likes to summarise a thread. They write long posts answering pp's questions or disputing statements, none of which have been put to them and not on their own thread. It's like they feel they are the last word in many subjects.

I also see another regularly, who's style I love- always consistent in their view point, never wavers and is quite comedic! Love seeing them post.

Only the ones who really bug me, or who are witty/funny. Way too many to remember any other way.

One poster complimented me on an outfit and I always notice their name now, feel like we are friends now I’m sure she has no idea who I am though Blush Grin

That's a nice reason to recognise someone!!

I notice a few. There’s a few posters who name change but never change the details of their subject matter. I don’t understand posters like this, they won’t take the advice of the previous thread so they just post the same thing over and over again.

Some trolls are noticeable from their titles or opening posts. The school troll in particular. There’s also posters like Beanie (who sometimes pops up on a name change) who’s fantasist stories are easy to pick up on due to cue-cards like mentioning lots of money, nannies, expensive hotels that royalty stay in etc. Those are quite fun to pick up on, it’s been a while to be fair! Think she got bored of being banned.

Odd posters catch my eye. I’ll read a post sometimes and think ‘what are you on’, then recognise the OP and think ‘oh that explains it, this will go on a while...’.

I also used to regularly see a lady who posted some absolutely batshit stories...haven't seen her in a while.

The blue dress, neighbours leaving their doors open for her at night......

The blue dress, neighbours leaving their doors open for her at night

From my understanding, she went to post elsewhere.....
