How to stop this pain in my tummy

I’ve had it since 11 last night- no sleep. It’s right in the top of my abdomen, almost in the chest. It’s so sharp. I have taken Rennies, pepto bismol, made myself sick a few times but nothing is touching the pain.

I feel a bit woozy but I think that’s probably tiredness now.

Please help.

Oh that sounds grim. I think if none of those are touching it I’d be tempted to go to hospital and get it checked out, as could potentially be something more serious. Hope you feel better soon .

Seriously, you need proper medical attention. Phone 111 and describe your symptoms.

Could be a gall bladder attack? Is it to the right hand side?
You need proper pain killers.

Stop making yourself sick, it might be making it worse.

Have you taken anything new medication wise recently, like Naproxen?

That can cause awful pain.

That’s how my stomach ulcer started. Go and see your GP or A and E. It’s amedical emergency if you bring up any blood.

This could be a variety of things, my first guess would be gall bladder. You need to see a doctor ASAP though.

Thank you, I came to a &e as it was so high up in the abdomen that I was really worried about my heart. I’ve had an ecg which was fine so it does seem to be gastro I guess?

I’ve also had some oramorph so feel a bit better but fairly sleepy! They’ve taken blood so I’m just waiting to see if that shows anything.
