I don’t think so

SlB09 · 13/03/2019 22:01

Depends which ones they are

donajimena · 13/03/2019 22:01

No. Better out than in anyway.

VelvetPineapple · 13/03/2019 22:03

You vomit because your body wants to get the germs out. Not a good idea to use medication to keep them in, that will make you more ill in the long run.

PinotAndPlaydough · 13/03/2019 22:04

Kwells, think they are kids ones. There’s nothing left to come out now Sad, Imodium has done the job one end, it’s the nausea that’s the killer.

You just have to ride it out.

Youcangoyourownwoo · 13/03/2019 22:06

Dont take immodium, uoure prolonging your agony in the long run. You need to let the infection get away from the bowel.

I had a virus that was making me puke before Christmas and in the end I caved and sent my husband out to get something in desperation because I was just bringing up bile. I think he brought something called Joy Rides or similar- they did work!

SlB09 · 13/03/2019 22:19

May help to relieve your symptoms somewhat but needs to be adult dose and may lead to side effects such as dry mouth commonly

Farmerswifey12 · 13/03/2019 22:19

If it's proper norovirus nothing is going to properly help it except riding it out in afraid

AsparagusSoup · 13/03/2019 22:27

I buy anti-sickness meds from pharmacy, they are called Buccastem and you place them between your gum and lip. They are fantastic.

Ginnymweasley · 13/03/2019 22:34

I had it a few weeks ago. In the end I was not keeping water down for over 24 hrs so because I am breastfeeding the Dr gave me cyclyzine to stop the vomiting but told me not to take any Imodium so the bug could leave my system that way. I dunno if travel sickness tablets would work but it probably is best to just ride it out unless you are getting dehydrated.

AppleJuiceFlood · 13/03/2019 22:44

As horrific and exhausting it is you need to let your body rid itself of all the nasty bugs. It is bloody awful though. Flowers

QuestionableMouse · 14/03/2019 12:10

Vomiting and diarrhoea are symptoms, not the body ejecting the virus. Stopping them doesn't stop your immune system from working!

The Imodium didn’t work anyway Sad. Think you’re all right, I’m going to have to ride it out.
