Fancy dress help needed!

I’ve been invited to a friend’s birthday party and she’s having a musicals fancy dress theme. Any ideas please?

The Liza Minnelli character from Chicago

Oh god. My worst nightmare. I hate fancy dress.

However, on the musicals theme Cats would be very easy. Cat ears and a tail. Or Phantom of the Opera. Masks are easy to come by.

Or use a witch hat left over from Halloween? Wicked!

I'm not sure why but the first one that's easy that popped to mind was Violet Beauregarde.

Anything from Cats, one of the witches from Wicked, Magenta or Columbia from Rocky Horror, something Fame-themed, Annie, Evita...

I did Liza in Cabaret once, was pretty easy.

Ooh some great ideas there! I’ve been Dorothy in the past so don’t want to do that again. Liking the idea of Liza Minnelli but not sure I’m that brave! I thought of a witch from Wicked, but I want something different. Think I’ll pass on Violet!

Rocky Horror would be ace! Quite excited by that prospect. Off to google for ideas.

I hate fancy dress too. I would go with a pink lady outfit from grease. You can pick up the jacket pretty cheap. I have one and wore it with black cropped trousers, black top and a scarf around my neck.
