Lyrics or Melody

When it comes to your favourite songs, is it because you prefer the lyrics or the melody? For me, I think it's the melody. A lot of the time I sing along, but I'm not thinking about the words particularly, and some of them make absolutely no sense to me when I do!

It’s always the melody for me.

I thought this was a baby names thread for a moment (casual glance and the thread below was a baby names one). It’s been a long day.

Definitely melody, especially given that I also sing along quite often using the wrong lyrics that when I think about it, make no sense at all
