40th birthday present ideas

A good friend of mine is turning 40 soon and I’m looking for ideas of what to get her. I’m absolutely stumped 🤔 I want it to be something special as she’s been a great friend and has also had a shitty year. She’s not a girly type so things like jewellery/clothes are out. Ideas please! 40 somethings - what did you have for your 40th? 🤔🥳

An experience rather than stuff? Something you can do together? Afternoon tea / cocktail making / pottery class etc?

Admittedly it was for a boyfriend not a friend but I made him 4 CDs of all the number 1 singles on his birthday from birth to present.

With my DSis for her 40th we had a spa day & I bought her a pendant with a beautiful local stone.
Experiences or something that she will remember/use are best - pottery painting would be nice if she could do a nice vase or jug or something she would keep and use.
A show is a great idea too.
