Facebook down for maintenance?

Has anyone else got this issue at the moment?

When I try and log on I have a message that comes up telling me that Facebook is down for 'required maintenance' and that I should be able to get back on within a few minutes. It has been about two hours though, and it still isn't working.

Anyone else affected?

We're all doomed!!!

Mine wasn't working, but it is again now.

YABVU to post a pic of a delicious meal because we can't taste or smell it. A contrasting tablecloth would help and since I'm being arsey, I would suggest that the tomatoes don't deserve the centre spot. Can you take the photo from a different angle?

And yes, FB has been very peculiar today.

Facebook and Instagram not working for me and WhatsApp messages won’t send pictures either.

DH works in social media, they've been having problems with FB all day apparently, something to do with a massive upgrade they're doing.

My FB/messenger/instagram ate down. I use messenger to contact my 15 yr ol DD who is in Europe this week and she wanted to tell me about her day.

They're all under the same ownership now, so likely to be affecting all of them (FB, Instagram and WhatsApp)

Yes I prefer those ones . You've gone all arty farty and posh. I want pudding now.... though I think I would put the cream / ice cream to the side of the tart, with the physalis nestling close to it. It looks a bit of a 'dollop' as is, and the tart doesn't need anything on top. We need to see it in its naked glory.

Ah - so it wasn't just me then. BBC news web page says FB outage was the most severe in its history.

I can get on to FB again, but my timeline is entirely empty.

I was able to post in groups, but not share anything, kept getting 'Something went wrong....'

Just saw your update, I have just come off FB so it is still not fixed then.

Instagram was fucked up earlier.

Facebook can stay fucked forever, joy sponge and unlicensed, unethical social experiment platform that it is.

Mine says account temporarily unavailable, been like that for a few hours now.

Update, it's working now!

@CrispbuttyNo1 The pudding looks nice, but not too sure about the salmon (is it salmon?) dish. I'm not sure what is underneath or if it all goes.

I can't send anything on messenger, including to a colleague or reply to facebook posts. Facebook Scrabble is also down.

How am I meant to let my friend know what I think of the video of the fancy cat feeder she posted a video of, or agree with my my other friend that facebook was in fact insensitive making her a video congratulating her on having a great February when in fact she spent part of the month in hospital following a breakdown and major self harm. I mean Facebook should have read her posts before they did that. Bastards.

I might have to resort to carrier pigeon.

I miss Yahoo instant messenger. I know there was a Hotmail version too, I used to spend hours chatting to people on those! Before that I used to email my first boyfriend all the time (back in 2006.)
