I’m after some ideas for sons 7th birthday. What did you buy? Did you take them anywhere? Thanks

Laser tag with friends and you can also get nerf laser guns too.

Subscription to a comic? Mine loves the Beano and the delivery day is like a little treat every week, but there are loads out there and it's less 'stuff' to find homes for!

Also: a set of small neodymium magnets; top trumps (we got a poo-based set - the most hilarious thing ever!); decorations for his bike (reflective spoke covers, stickers etc); a light-up neon drawing board.

I had Laser party with his favourite superhero Spiderman at my 7 years olds. Also football party's, cinema, bowling or trampoline bday party's?

'Tubing' party at the local dry ski slope - November birthday so limited in outdoor activities but this was great. All the kids wrapped up warm in hats and scarves and then they had pizza and popcorn in a little wooden hut at the ski slope afterwards. I did winter theme party bags with 'make your own snow' , white play dough, snowflake shaped cookies and marshmallow snowman.

DS2 had a Clip'n'Climb party. Presents mostly Lego.

Tour of Wembley / other ground

Non football items he liked were a fake poo ( Poundland)

Are there any local wildlife parks or farms?
My son at that age was obsessed with animals and when he was 6 took him and a friend to a Wildlife Adventure Park. Had a good day and allowed them to choose a souvenir in the (v.expensive) gift shop then back home for pizza.

Whyareweallhere · 15/03/2019 13:50

Yes there is a good zoo/farm near us.

Whyareweallhere · 15/03/2019 16:40

He loves trampolining!
